The Indian School Riffa Campus Celebrates Annual Day 2024


            ISB Honors 300 Students for Outstanding Achievements

The Indian School Riffa campus celebrated its Annual Day 2024 with a vibrant and joyous event themed 'Celebrations of Seasons' on Thursday. The occasion was marked by colorful programs that filled the atmosphere with excitement and happiness. The event began with the rendition of the national anthems of Bahrain and India, recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, and the school song performed by the school's choristers. The Chief Guest for the evening was Ms. Lulwa Ghassan Al Muhanna, Director of the Directorate of Licensing and Follow-up of Private Schools at the Ministry of Education. The ceremony commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony by Ms. Lulwa Ghassan Al Muhanna.
The distinguished gathering included the ISB Hon. Chairman, Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V Rajapandian, Hon. Asst. Secretary Ranjini Mohan, Executive Committee Members Mithun Mohan, Mohammad Nayaz Ullah, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier,Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas and Vice-Principals.
Principal Pamela Xavier extended a warm welcome to all attendees, setting a positive and inviting tone for the event. In her message, she briefly highlighted the achievements and initiatives of the academic year, creating an atmosphere of pride and enthusiasm.
Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, in his presidential address, acknowledged the numerous accomplishments of the school and its students over the past years. He expressed gratitude to the dedicated teachers for their diligence in providing top-notch education and a nurturing environment. The chairman also took the opportunity to thank parents for their continued support and trust in the school, emphasizing the crucial partnership between the school and parents in shaping the future of the students.
Chief Guest Ms. Lulwa Ghassan Al Muhanna was honored with a memento as a token of appreciation by Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese. The highlight of the evening was the felicitation of group champions and winners of various competitions, with nearly 300 students receiving trophies and certificates for their outstanding performances in various events including speech, storytelling, action song, computer card designing, and handwriting.
The event featured spectacular cultural performances and talk shows by primary students, adding fun and entertainment to the celebration. Class 1 and 2 presented a multicultural visual treat with their welcome dance, while an inter school competition winner from Class 2 delivered a stunning solo act. LKG students performed "Hello Spring," a refreshing spring delight dance, and Class 3 presented the melodious "Seasons in the Sun." The UKG students brought the sunshine with "Summer Time Fun," and Class 1 presented "Rhythm of the Falling Rain," while Class 3 concluded with the cool performance of "Winter Wonderland." The performances were enhanced by amazing props, well-planned dynamic digital presentations, and backdrops that amplified the theme.
The school band, along with scouts and guides, led the Chief Guest, Executive Committee members, and invited dignitaries to the auditorium. One of the spectacular features was the primary students showcasing their anchoring skills, holding the show together with their charm and confidence. The school was adorned beautifully with digital displays and banners, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Head Boy Reyhan Thomas Mathew and Head Girl  Sera Kishor ,expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the Annual Day celebration. Aaliyah Shanavas, Aamilah Shanavas, Deven Jangir and Abhimanyu Midhun were the masters of ceremonies.
ISB Hon.Chairman Adv.Binu Mannil Varughese,Hon.Secretary V Rajapandian,Executive Committee Members,Principal VR Palaniswamy and Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier congratulated the students on their achievements and appreciated the meticulous efforts of the teachers in organising the ceremony.
