MESSAGE FROM THE SECRETARY GENERAL
To begin with, I would like to thank our Chairman, Prince S. Natarajan Sir and all the executive committee members, Principal, V R Palaniswamy Sir, Vice Principal, Anand Sir, the MUN Directors R.L Leo Sir and Leelama Francis Teacher for making the dream of an Indian School MUN – The ISBMUN come true.
A special thanks to the Organizing Committee for staying by my side every step of the way & for working together as a family over the past 1 year to see our vision of ISBMUN become a reality.
Model United Nations, also known as MUN, is an extra-curricular activity in which high school or college students typically role play delegates to the United Nations and simulate UN committees. An MUN hopes to inspire students to stand up and bring about changes in the world through rigorous discourse and debate to build a more peaceful, progressive and prosperous future for themselves, and for generations to come.
The main objective behind the initiation of the ISBMUN is to provide a platform for students to be part of an experience that not many students are always fortunate to be a part of.
This year, we aim to provide a unique debate experience for our students with a passion for discussing and debating global issues and strive towards creating a conference that caters to every delegate's needs- be it to teach them about MUN, or to enrich their knowledge and experience. This year’s conference, with 10 councils, hopes to provide simulating discussions to the issues of the present and the past for our future leaders.
So, whether you are a beginner or an experienced delegate, looking forward to your active participation in making this conference a grand success.
We wish you all the best for the ISBMUN 2016!
