ISB Celebrates Commerce Festival Nishka-2023
The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) celebrated Commerce Day ‘Nishka-2023’ at its Isa Town Campus on Thursday, October 5 with a variety of events and activities designed to showcase the talents and skills of its commerce students. The programme was organized by the Departments of Commerce and Humanities of the school. Senior Section Vice-Principal Dr Anand Nair inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp and declared the event open. Nishka was a fusion of creativity which gave students an excellent opportunity to look beyond the boundaries of classroom learning. It was a day of learning with fun for Classes XI and XII Commerce and Humanities students. A Quiz competition was conducted with so many interesting rounds to assess the general knowledge of the students in various fields.Quiz Master Dr Anand Nair conducted the quiz.
Eat-Fit was a salad making competition to encourage a healthy lifestyle. It was conducted to help the students to know about the importance of varieties of healthy salad and to experience hospitality management. The Apparel Exploration set new fashion trends.Hon. Member-Health and Environment Ajayakrishnan V delivered a keynote address emphasizing the future prospects and the role of Commerce in the modern world. Prizes were distributed by Noora AlZadjali (Ministry of Education) in the presence of Principal VR Palaniswamy and Vice-Principals. Elizabeth Thomas welcomed the gathering. Anuja Udayakumar gave vote of thanks. Heads of the Departments Biju Vasudevan (Commerce) and Annly Joseph (Humanities) coordinated the programme.
