ISB APJ Inter-Junior School Science Quest: Six Teams Enter Final

  The Mothercare ISB APJ Inter-Junior School Science Quest semi-final  was held in seven rounds on May 27, 2023 at The Indian School Riffa Campus. The six teams who qualified for the final are Al Noor International School, Bahrain Indian School, Britus International School, New Millennium School, The New Indian School and The Indian School. The final will be held on Friday June  2.
The semi-final round  commenced with the grand entry of the quizzing team into the auditorium, led by the head teachers, amidst a standing ovation from the audience and welcoming music. ISB Hon. Chairman  Prince S Natarajan and Hon. Secretary  Saji Antony attended the event and applauded the teams on their performance.
Principal Pamela Xavier welcomed everyone and expressed her gratitude to the quiz masters Dr. Babu Ramachandran (Head – Amwaz Medical and Wellness Centre, American
Mission Hospital)  Bonny Joseph (Director – Bonny’s Educational Services, Bonny’s Classroom),   Tanima Bonny and the staff and teachers from representing schools for their sincere support in making the event a success.
The contest was expertly hosted by the witty and amusing quiz masters. They made the contest fun and engaging for all the participants and kept the mood light-hearted throughout. Their jokes were   well-received by the crowd, who could not help but laugh at the master's witty one-liners.
The seven rounds of the quest kept participants on the edge of their seats as scores of all the teams appeared to have roller coaster rides until the last round. The questions were all about kids' stuff, so the contestants really had to use their noggins! The kids were asked a wide range of questions, about all kinds of topics. From cartoons to space, language and literature, all kinds of topics were covered. The contestants showed off their knowledge with their sharp, clever, and creative answers.
It was a thrilling event for the students and the audience. These opportunities are indeed a learning experience for all the quizzers as these are the platforms that would help them take their talent to the next level. The children received gift hampers, and everyone left with a huge sense of accomplishment and a smile on their face.
ISB Hon.Chairman Prince S Natarajan,Hon.Secretary Saji Antony and EC members appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students  and the teamwork of teachers in organizing the programme.
