Indian School Honors Toppers for Academic Excellence-IX to XII

 The Indian School Bahrain (ISB), known for its commitment to provide quality education and foster academic excellence, hosted The Annual Academic Award Ceremony on Thursday, May 25,2023, to celebrate the spectacular performance of the students in the CBSE exams. The event showcased the exceptional achievements of students who excelled in their Board examinations, igniting a spark of inspiration and encouraging learners to strive for greatness.
Around 200 toppers and high achievers of X and XII were honoured  with medals and certificates for their excellent performance in the academic year 2022-2023 at the ceremony in the school auditorium in Isa Town campus.  Students in the principal’s honours list and merit list were also recognized for their achievements.
The  programme began with reading of the Holy Quran, the national anthem of Bahrain and India  and the lighting of the lamp followed by school prayer and invocation dance.
Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava  was the chief guest of the ceremony.   ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Hon. Secretary Saji Antony, Vice-Chairman Jayafar Maidani,  EC members Binu Mannil Varughese,Rajesh Nambiar, Ajayakrishnan V, Mohammed Nayaz Ullah, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier, Staff Representative Johnson K Devassy, community leader  Mohammed Hussain Malim,Vice- Principals, HoDs  and  Head Teachers attended the ceremony.
The gold medalists include Class XII school toppers Veena Kizhakkethil(97.4%), Anjali Shameer  (96.8%), Saniya Suzanne John (96.6%) and Class X toppers Krishna Rajeevan Nair (98.2%),Theertha Harish (97.6%), Abhinav Vinu(97.4%). The Academic Special Newsletter Tidings was released during the ceremony.
In his inaugural address , Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava appreciated the excellent performance of the Indian School in academics and conveyed his best wishes, appreciating the  hard work and dedication of students and staff .The Indian School has been keeping their tradition of excellence.  The School’s achievements are impressive and the school is providing all-encompassing education to students besides academic brilliance which makes them global citizens, the ambassador said.
ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan in his presidential address said that the concerted efforts of the ISB academic team with the wholehearted support of the parents and teachers have culminated in the excellent academic performance of the students. The Indian School faculty had quickly adapted to the online teaching platform during the challenging times of Covid-19,he said.
Principal VR Palaniswamy who presented the milestone achievements of the CBSE results pointed out that the Indian School has been maintaining consistent academic excellence. He appreciated the hard work of the students, commitment of the teachers, cooperation of the parents and the support and guidance of the Executive Committee in bringing laurels to the school.
ISB Hon. Secretary Saji Antony who proposed the vote of thanks said academic brilliance has always been an integral part of the  school and the results prove that the combined efforts of the academic team  and the relentless support of the parents helped the ISB to emerge as the centre of excellence. Students Joanna Jess Binu and Aryan Arora were the masters of ceremonies.
