ISB Riffa Campus holds Investiture Ceremony

 The investiture ceremony, marking the formation  of new ‘Student Council’ for the academic session 2023-24 was solemnized at the Indian School Riffa campus with great pomp and dignity. The ceremony appointed the new Student Council body consisting of 26 members including the Head Boy Reyhan Thomas Mathew, Head Girl Sera Kishor,Asst.Head Boy Daksh Pradeep,Asst.Head Girl Aamilah Shanavas,Eco Ambassador Aadya Bijin and prefects.
ISB  Asst. Secretary  Premalatha NS  and EC Member  Ajayakrishnan V inaugurated the programme. The program commenced with the rendition of the national anthems of Bahrain and India, recitals from the Holy Quran and the school song by students of class 3.The  traditional lamp lighting ceremony was carried out by the EC Members.  Principal Pamela Xavier, Head Teachers and coordinators , staff and students  attended.  
Principal   Pamela Xavier  welcomed the dignitaries and flagged off the event on an educative note.  She went on and advised the young leaders to lead by example and to work hand in hand with the fellow students.
 Asst. Secretary Premalatha NS congratulated the newly appointed school council members and shared her tips on the art of leadership in her felicitation address. She continued by saying that cooperation and humbleness were among the good qualities that made for successful leadership while performing the tasks entrusted to them.  
The students were then honoured with badges and sashes followed by the oath of office administered by the Principal. The elected members took a formal pledge to carry out the duties assigned to them with sincerity and efficiency in the presence of invited dignitaries, peers and teachers.
The newly appointed Eco Ambassador advocated Go-Green initiatives and as one of her first acts she invited the guests   and student representatives to take part in the recycling "Go-Green" project.  She encouraged everyone to give paper a second chance by recycling it in the proper blue bin.
The program was held together by the student emcees of class 3 and it concluded with the vote of thanks by the Head Boy and the Head Girl.
ISB Hon.Chairman Prince S Natarajan,Hon.Secretary Saji Antony and EC members congratulated Team Riffa emphasizing the role of prefects in keeping the name and flag of the school flying high.

The Indian School is a CBSE affiliated school located in Bahrain. It was founded in the year 1950. The Indian School, Bahrain has around 12,000 students and is one of the largest co-ed schools in the Gulf.
