ISB holds Scouts and Guides Training Camp

The Indian School Bahrain(ISB) organized the Annual Training Camp of the Bharat Scouts and Guides at the Riffa campus on December 10, 2022.Bahrain-based social worker Amaldev O.K, who won Rashtrapati’s Scout Award in 2007, was the chief guest. ISB Hon.Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Executive Committee member and Director of Scouts and Guides Rajesh Nambiar, Binu Mannil Varughese, Mohammed Nayaz Ullah, Principal VR Palaniswamy,Riffa campus Principal Pamela Xavier and Vice-Principals of Isa Town and Riffa campuses attended the ceremony. The annual camp aims to inculcate practical knowledge in students and to enhance their overall development. More than 200 Scouts and Guides and Cubs and Bulbuls attended the camp. They actively participated in various camp programmes like patrol inspection, first aid, knots, spare time activities, BP exercise, camp games, camp fire etc. The training was conducted by a team of 17 teachers under Camp Chief Chinnasamy R. The students actively participated in the camp with excitement and enthusiasm. Certificates were distributed to the participants at the end of the camp. Following teachers oversee the scouts and guides: Chinnasamy R (Scout Master Overall In-charge ), Vanithakumari Benedict(Coordinator-Scouts Guides), Chithra Satheesh (Coordinator-Cubs& Bulbuls Senior), Vijayan Nair K,Asha Latha, Subha Aji, Sridhar Siva S (Scout Masters), Usha Suresh,Urmila G Palnitkar (Guide Captains), Prianga, Sheeja Jayan, Jayasree Chengoth (Cub Masters), Querobina Fernandes (Coordinator-Cubs),Bharti Asar (Coordinator-Bulbuls), Aneesha Samgeeth, Suja Surendran, Arul Ramalingam (Flock Leaders). ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Hon Secretary Saji Antony,EC Member Sports Rajesh MN, Principal VR Palaniswamy and Riffa campus Principal Pamela Xavier appreciated the students for their active participation in the scouts and guides movement which contributes to the development of students in achieving their full physical, social and spiritual potentials.
