ISB Honours Teachers and Toppers for Academic Excellence

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) organized the Annual Academic Award Ceremony on Monday, November 7, 2022 to felicitate the school toppers of the CBSE class X and XII examination 2022. Around 100 toppers and high achievers of X and XII were honoured with medals and certificates for their excellent performance in the academic year 2021-2022 at the ceremony in the school auditorium in Isa Town campus. Around 250 prizes were also distributed. Teachers were given Long Service Award for their meritorious service for the school. The programme began with reading of the Holy Quran, the national anthem of Bahrain and India and the lighting of the lamp followed by school prayer and invocation dance. Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava was the chief guest of the ceremony. Indian Embassy Second Secretary Ravi Kumar Jain, ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Hon. Secretary Saji Antony, Vice-Chairman Jayafar Maidani,EC Members Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Binu Mannil Varughese, Premalatha NS, Rajesh Nambiar, Ajayakrishnan V, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier, Staff Representative Johnson K Devassy, Vice- Principals, HoDs,Head Teachers and invited guests attended the ceremony. The gold medalists include Class XII school toppers Anna Saju Mullappilly(98.2%), Dwaraka Thyakarajan (98%), Bavya Koppal(96.6%), Dikpaal Prakashbhai Patel(96.6%),Leo Thomas Dominic(96.6%) and Class X school toppers Haifa Mohamed Shiraz(99%),Mariam Thomas (99%), Rinz Loji(97.8%), Swathy Suresh(97.4%), Theerdha Hareesh(97.4%) and Atharva Avinash Mahule. The Academic Special Newsletter Tidings was released during the ceremony. In his inaugural address , Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava appreciated the excellent performance of the Indian School in academics and conveyed his best wishes, appreciating the hard work and dedication of students and staff .The Indian School has been keeping their tradition of excellence. The School’s achievements are impressive and the school is providing all-encompassing education to students besides academic brilliance which makes them global citizens, the ambassador said. ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan in his presidential address said that the concerted efforts of the ISB academic team with the wholehearted support of the parents and teachers have culminated in the best ever academic performance of the students in the school in several years. The Indian School faculty have quickly adapted to the online teaching platform during the challenging times of Covid-19,he said. Principal VR Palaniswamy who presented the milestone achievements of the CBSE results pointed out that the Indian School has been maintaining consistent academic excellence. He appreciated the hard work of the students, commitment of the teachers, cooperation of the parents and the support and guidance of the Executive Committee in bringing laurels to the school. Hon. EC Member-Academics Mohammad Khursheed Alam in his felicitation address said that the dedicated efforts of the Indian School family has resulted in the fantastic and consistent performance of the students in academics. ISB Hon. Secretary Saji Antony who proposed the vote of thanks said academic brilliance has always been an integral part of the school and the results prove that the combined efforts of the academic team and the relentless support of the parents helped the ISB to emerge as the centre of excellence.
