ISB Riffa Campus Celebrates World Environment Day

Encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment, students participated in the World Environment Day celebrations held by the Indian School Riffa Campus on June 5,2022. The annual campaign was held both online and offline with an aim to raise awareness and significance of protecting, restoring and celebrating our home planet Earth. Following the theme of this year’s World Environment Day, ‘Only One Earth’, students were encouraged to share ideas for environmental protection that they would put into action. The little ones presented their opinions through posters, drawings, quotes, models, poems and speeches emphasizing the necessity of maintaining clean surroundings, growing more plants and trees and reducing pollution and waste in order to save the ecosystem and nature. Teachers held special class assemblies to share the message of the environment day, inspiring children to consciously be a part of the change to preserve our environment. They highlighted the messages that the trees are our lungs and the rivers our lifeline. A healthy planet is not an option, it is a necessity. Students said they would protect the environment and the world we live in.
