ISB Celebrates Commerce Day Nishka 2021

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB)celebrated its Commerce Day titled 'Nishka 2021' through an online platform on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Nishka, the annual talent hunt of the Commerce and Humanities Department of the is a fusion of students’ creativity and intellect, which create an excellent opportunity to look beyond the boundaries of classroom learning. Various competitions were arranged for the benefit of students to exhibit their talents. It was a day of learning with fun for Classes XI and XII Commerce and Humanities students. The students actively participated in the events.Competitions in English speech and poster making were conducted which explored the hidden talents of students. Poster making competition brought out the creative expression of students and gauged their knowledge and awareness of various trends in Commerce and Management. The theme allotted for poster making competition was Homelessness (For XI) and Winning the Race Together (For XII).PowerPoint Presentation contest was held on Brand-building and Market analysis which helped in creating brand awareness. The competition Ad-Venture was also conducted to test the marketing skills of students with innovative ideas and to expose the students to the advertising world with new marketing tools. It also provided a unique opportunity to students for team work, creative thinking and to develop artistic skills.Overall, Nishka provided an opportunity to the students of Commerce and Humanities stream to step into the field of entrepreneurs.Nishka was the Gold coin of Mauryans. The festival carries its name for its commercial significance. HoDs Dr M.Rasheed(Commerce) and Annly Joseph(Humanities)coordinated the programme. ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan,Hon.Secretary Saji Antony and Principal VR Palaniswamy appreciated the students and teachers for organising the festival in an effective manner.
