ISB Riffa Campus Celebrates World Hindi Day
Students from across the ISB Riffa campus enthusiastically participated in a variety of programmes exhibiting their love for Hindi language on January 10, 2021. They joined the World Hindi Day virtual celebrations dressed in their traditional Indian attire and it was their great opportunity to showcase their talents. Patriotic songs, speeches and role play to inspiring moral stories were shared among the peers. Poetry enthusiasts recited poems portraying the beauty of the language. The young artistic fans too transpired their imaginations to colourful sketches of the occasion. The virtual screens were filled with their cheer and laughter and their joyous expressions marking the Hindi Day. Teachers appreciated the students for their performances and activities inspiring and motivating them to keep up their passion and love for the Hindi language. They enlightened the students on the importance of the language and the need for its propagation. They also explained to the students that along with the need to progress in the modern world, it is equally important to continue to embrace and respect all languages to keep the good traditional values, social norms and cultures of our society alive. The events were also posted to their ISB virtual space to share their joy and to keep memories of the occasion. Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier appreciated the efforts of the teachers who coordinated the programme and the children who actively took part in the celebrations. In his message, ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan said : 'Hindi is an ancient language that has not only had tremendous impact on world history, but continues to have tremendous impact on the world today.'
