Indian Cricketer TA Sekhar Visits ISB

One of the fastest bowlers in India in the early eighties, TR Sekhar visited the Indian School Bahrain and interacted with students. In the interactive session with the under 14 boys, he advised them to focus on ‘line and length’ instead of trying to bowl faster deliveries at this age. ISB Hon.Secretary Saji Antony, EC Members Rajesh Nambiar, Binu Mannil Varughese , Ajayakrishnan V, Saji Mangad, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Vice-Principals and Physical Education teachers attended the interactive session . TA Sekhar advised the young boys to perform well and emerge first in every age group tournaments before dreaming to represent the country or the national team. Quoting ‘practice makes man perfect’, he advised the children to ‘practice perfectly to become perfect man.’ TA Sekhar’s two Test matches were in the 1982-83 season when he was flown out to Pakistan to replace the injured Madan Lal. He played a One Day International in that series and three more against England two years later.
