ISB to Host major Badminton Tournament

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) in association with Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation (BBSF) will be conducting a major ranking tournament this year with an aim to develop the sport in the Kingdom. BBSF ISB Brain Craft International Bahrain Junior Ranking Circuit 2020 will be hosted by the Indian School from January 23 to 27, 2020. The ranking will be given separately to boys and girls in the under 9,11,13,15,17 and 19 singles and doubles events. This is the first Badminton tournament to be held in the recently refurbished ISB badminton courts. There are four well-lit badminton courts courts housed in the high ceiling Jashanmal auditorium with impact resistant flooring. The Junior Ranking Circuit will follow the laws of Badminton strictly. The BWF General Competition Regulations (GCR) shall apply to the Championship to the extent of national tournament requirements, except for clothing and advertising. The BWF Badminton Regulations and Codes of Conduct are applicable for this tournament. This tournament will be followed by other ranking events hosted by Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS), Indian Club, Philippines Club (PBG), Ebrahim Badminton Academy (EBA) and BBSF. The top ranked players will be announced at the end of the year and they will be awarded during the Junior International Series 2020 in December 2020.
