Shaheen Group lifts ISB Mega Fair Cricket Cup

Shaheen Group A has bagged the Indian School Soft Ball Cricket (Open) tournament organised in connection with the ISB Mega Fair 2019. In the final on Thursday they defeated Abu Saad Basali team by six wickets. Batting first Abu Saad scored 47runs for 1 wicket in 6 overs. In reply Shaheen Group scored 48 for 1 in 5.2 overs. Imran who scored 22 runs was declared the Man of the Match. The tournament was held in three categories: Open, States and National levels. In the States category Kerala won by 3 wickets against Tamil Nadu. In the final they scored 54 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 6overs. Tamil Nadu could score only 53 for 2 in 6 overs. Aneesh who scored 20 runs and took 1 wicket was declared the Man of the Match. In the National level, India lifted the trophy. In the final India won by 4 wickets against mighty Bahrain. Bahrain scored 33 runs losing 7 wickets in 5.5 overs. India scored 34 for 3 in 5.2 overs. Prasanth who scored 17 runs was the Man of the Match. ISB Hon Chairman Prince S Natarajan distributed trophy to winners. Cricket Bahrain Association(CBA) General Secretary Yaseer Zafar and CBA Treasurer Rizwan Shah were the Guests of Honour in the Final. ISB Secretary Saji Antony, EC Member-Sports Rajesh MN, EC Member- Finance Adv Binu Mannil Varughese, EC Member -Transport Mohammed Nayaz Ullah, Fair Organizing Committee General Convener R Ramesh, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Physical Education Teacher and the Head of Schools & Youth Cricket in Bahrain Mukunda Warrier , Tournament Convener Adil Ahmed and HPL Convener Noushad attended the ceremony. The tournament was conducted in association with Hidd Premier League. The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) Mega Fair 2019 will be conducted at the school campus in Isa Town on December 15 and 16.
