ISB Celebrates Bahrain National Day-Isa Town Campus

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) celebrated Bahrain National Day with a colourful procession and patriotic fervour on Thursday in the Jashanmal Auditorium of the Isa Town Campus It was a grand show of patriotic feelings put up by the Arabic Department of the school. The National Flag was hoisted by ISB Chairman Prince S Natarajan in the presence of Asst. Secretary Premalatha NS, EC Member Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Principal VR Palaniswamy , Vice Principals , staff and students of the school. Prince S Natarajan hailed the dedicated efforts of the Arabic Department which were exerted to reflect the crucial importance of the national days among the students. Prince S Natarajan expressed the school's appreciation and gratitude to the Kingdom's wise leadership and said Bahrain, a model for religious diversity, tolerance, and co-existence, is a home away from home for expatriates. Bahrain is a tolerant and open minded society which is respectful of all religions, backgrounds and types of people, which is why we have such a harmonious multi-cultural society in the Kingdom today, he said. HoD Rukaiya A Rahim gave vote of thanks. Classrooms were decorated and students marched in traditional Bahrain attire in the procession waving Bahrain flags. The programme commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran and the National Anthem of Bahrain. A variety of cultural programmes including Traditional Bahraini Dance were organized.
