ISB Celebrates Bahrain National Day at the Riffa Campus

The little ones at the Indian School Riffa campus marked the Bahrain National Day with great zeal and enthusiasm on the school premises with a mix of formations on Wednesday. The celebrations commenced with the rendition of the Bahrain National Anthem and verses from the Holy Quran followed by the flag hoisting ceremony by Indian School Hon. Asst.Secretary Premalatha N S along with Principal Pamela Xavier, Head Teachers and Coordinators. In her address Ms. Premalatha commended the efforts of Team Riffa to carry on the tradition of the human formation for the fourth consecutive year and expressed her delight at the fitting tribute paid to the nation. Principal Pamela Xavier hailed the rulers of the land and wished the country well. Decked in red and white, more than 4000 students and staff came together ornamenting the campus with their formations of unity and love for the Kingdom. The highlights of the day included the twinkling stars of Class 1 with the star formation with UKG pearls at its centre. Besides them were the ‘circles of unity’ by Class 2. The tiny tots of LKG and the rest of UKG adorned the campus marking ISB 2019. Students from Class 3 paraded around the campus in unison, in the spirit of the Kingdom, swaying the national flag. The ISB family dedicates this day as a tribute to the Ruling Family and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Cultural events by the Arabic students including a Fashion Show, poem recitation and traditional Bahraini dances enhanced the colour of the celebrations and left the audience swaying to its tunes. In the entire school campus little hands along with their teachers put together flags, cards, banners and decorations in read and white. Parents joined in the festivities expressing their love for the Kingdom and appreciated the school in its role in instilling the spirit of patriotism in students. Wishes, greetings and delicacies enriched the fervour of the celebrations. The week long celebrations continue in different departments with special assemblies and programs enriching the students on the traditions and cultures of Bahrain. The culmination of the celebrations will be held at the ISB Annual Mega Fair 2019 scheduled for December 15 and 16, 2019, showcasing vibrant performances and large scale grandeur.
