Spectacular Colour Splash at ISB Riffa Campus KG Sporting Gala Thrills Spectators

Over 1,600 kindergarteners treated more than 3000 spectators to a vibrant pageant of foot tapping drill displays in the Colour Splash Sporting Gala Season 3 of the Indian School Riffa campus on Friday. The KG Sporting Gala was declared open by ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan followed by the symbolic release of pigeons by dignitaries. ISB Secretary Saji Antony , Vice-Chairman Jayafar Maidani, Asst. Secretary Premalatha NS, EC Members Rajesh MN , Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese , Ajayakrishnan V , Deepak Gopalakrishnan, Saji George, Mohammed Nayaz Ullah, Principal V.R. Palaniswamy, Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier, Gajria Group Managing Director Vijay Boloor, Crown Electro -Mechanical Services Managing Director S. Inayadullah, Colour Splash Sponsor House of Uniforms Proprietress Naty Martinez, Zayani Motors General Manager Mohammed Zaki, Vice-Principals and community members attended the function. Prince S Natarajan in his address admired the spirit of Team Riffa for mentoring students in sporting events right from the KG section. He applauded the tiny tots on their performance and the parents for their support. He went on to thank all the dignitaries , applauding their unwavering support to the ISB Family. EC Member-Sports Rajesh M N declared the Sports Meet closed . He commended the activities of the Sports Academy, Scouts and Guides and Junior Band and congratulated Team Riffa for the smooth conduct the sporting gala. Mr. Vijay Boolor in his address conveyed his appreciation to the school and the students and assured his support in the schools’ progress. Mr. S. Inayadulla expressed his joy at the event and conveyed his best wishes to the students as well as the school community. Principal Pamela Xavier welcomed the gathering extending her gratitude to the Guests of Honour, dignitaries, Executive Committee, parents and well-wishers for being the supporting pillars on all occasions and complemented the staff . The winners of the various events were honoured by the dignitaries with crowns of glory, medals and certificates. It was an enjoyable occasion to see the children’s welcome speech, rendition of verses from Holy Quran, National Anthems and vote of thanks. The spectators were truly amazed by their exemplary talents, beautiful formations with colourful props. They were also spellbound to witness the tiny tots of LKG marching to the beat of the drums, which is yet another first time event. A spectacular skating display and cart wheeling session by students was one of the memorable acts of the event. The dignitaries were given a red carpet welcome by the Junior band . The Scouts and Guides students were in attendance to salute the dignitaries and assist with the smooth conduct of the programme. Smart Class Rooms Opened in ISB Riffa Campus Designed to help students abilities and performance, the Indian School Riffa campus has set up smart classrooms with the support from the community. The Smart TVs were sponsored by eminent businessman shri Lalchand Gajria, one of the founding members of the Indian School. The smart Clasrsoom was inaugurated by Gajria Group Managing Director Vijay Boloor by cutting ribbon in the presence of the invited dignitaries and staff. Mr. Vijay Boolor in his address conveyed his appreciation to the school and assured his support in the schools’ progress. ISB Chairman Prince S Natarajan expressed his gratefulness to Mr Lalchand Gajria for his overwhelming generosity in donating 20 Smart TVs to the students of the ISB Riffa Campus. He complemented Riffa Campus Discipline Coordinator Ms. Sharmila Jain for her role in reaching out to the community to realize the school’s dream to impart new skills in students. The smart classrooms will indeed help the little ones in enriching their educational journey through technology aided and child friendly learning experiences. ISB Mega Fair 2019 Raffle Tickets Launched The grand launch of the raffle tickets of the Indian School Annual Mega Fair 2019 was held at the Riffa Campus on Friday. The raffle ticket was released by the ISB chairman Prince S Ntarajan in the presence of EC Members and dignitaries. The General Convener of the 2018 Mega Fair S Inayadullah was honoured during the ceremony. The school’s annual fundraiser event scheduled for 15th and 16th December is a mega event in the island and assists in providing concessional education to hundreds of deserving students of the school. Parents and all present were encouraged to support the good cause and were invited to patronize the activities of the mega fair in large numbers to make the event a resounding success. Entry fee for the Mega Fair will be BD2. The Mega Fair is spearheaded by an Organizing Committee with Mr R Ramesh as the General Convener. The main attractions of the event are the musical programmes led by Indian Musician Stephen Devassy and team on December 15 and popular singer Rithu Pathak and troupe on December 16. “The funds generated from the Fair will be utilized for providing fee concessions for the economically underprivileged students, welfare activities for the staff and to enhance the resources of the school, said Prince S Natarajan.
