Man of the Match Award for Indian School Boy

The Indian School student Haniel Asir Robert has won the prestigious Man of the Match award in the Asian Cricket Council(ACC) Western Region Cricket tournament on 23 October 2019 in Muscat. The ACC has given this award for his match winning performance against Saudi Arabia in the second match. His outstanding bowling performance in this match claimed 5 wickets for just 16 runs in 7 overs when Saudi Arabian batsmen were challenging Bahraini bowlers. Haniel Asir Robert is studying in std X and he has been playing cricket in Indian School Bahrain very actively from standard IV. He was a member of the Indian School winning team of under 12, under 14, under 15, Under 16 boys. Based on his extra talent in cricket he has been selected to the Indian School under 19 team also this year at the age of 15 years. Apart from Haniel Robert, the opening batsman cum wicket keeper Aum Umesh Chandra of std X is also in the Bahrain National team. Haniel Asir Robert is the highest wicket taker for Bahrain under 16 team in this particular tournament with 9 wickets from 3 matches.
