ISB Riffa Campus Marks Teachers’ Day

Beginning with a solemn tribute to Indian philosopher and statesman Dr. S Radhakrishnan, Teachers Day was celebrated at the Indian School Bahrain(ISB) Riffa campus with a variety of programmes. ISB Hon.Chairman Prince S Natarajan inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp in the presence of Executive Committee members Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Adv.Binu Mannil Varughese,Rajesh Nambiar, Ajayakrishnan V and Principal Pamela Xavier. Teachers passed on the lighted lamp. Praising the efforts of the Team Riffa in organizing the events , Prince S Natrajan congratulated the teachers for their achievements and dedication and said choosing the noble profession of teaching shows their commitment and selflessness. The Chairman went on to mention that the technological advancements happening worldwide are a testimony to India’s educational progress. He wished all the teachers a Happy Teachers’ Day on behalf of the management and appreciated the students’ efforts in every field as being the best reward for a teacher. The teachers gave a standing ovation to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) team for their new milestone set by second lunar exploration mission Chandrayaan-2. Principal Pamela Xavier welcomed the EC Members. Keeping the spirit of the teachers high with her motivating message and urging them to continue their good work , Pamela Xavier said acquiring knowledge is a never ending process for all who pursue it with passion and joy. She acknowledged the hard work of teachers in kindergarten and primary sections which is the cornerstone of the education process wherein all basic learning happens. An ‘Onam’ banquet doubled the joy of the celebrations.
