ISB Celebrates TECHNOFEST 2019

To display all the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science, the Indian School Bahrain (ISB) celebrated the 16th Annual Science & Technology Day ‘Technofest 2019’ at the campus in Isa Town on May 9. About 6000 students participated in the events held in connection with Technofest to show case their technical skill and scientific attitude. Students from class VI to class XII were involved in various events in the Technofest which was organized by the science faculty of the school. The New Indian School, New Millennium School, Ibn Al Hytham Islamic School , Asian School, Al Noor International school and Bahrain Indian School took part along with the Indian School students in various Science and Technology related Competitions. The competitions included inter-school symposium , on the spot model making, Science and Technology Quiz and Intra-school Display Board. ISB student Stasy Mariam Soju won first prize in the symposium on Biometric Technology. The second prize was won by Lakshmi Manoj of Ibn Al Hytham Islamic School. Navneet Anil Kumar of Al Noor International School won the third prize. ISB won first in ‘on the spot model making competition’. Al Noor International School and Bahrain Indian School (BIS) won second and third prize respectively. The Asian School won first prize in Science Quiz. New Millennium School won second and the New Indian School won the third prize. Display board competition was conducted for classes VI to XII. All the competitions were judged by eminent personalities, experts in the respective fields. The valedictory function was organized in the Jashanmal Auditorium in which the prizes were distributed by Vice Principals Anand Nair and Vinod S and all Science faculty HODs . Senior most faculty member Suresh Arcot congratulated the winners and elaborated the impact of technology in the field of education and in practical life of a student.
