ISB to Hold Mega Medical Camp for Parents and Students

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) will be organizing a free medical camp for parents and students on May 1, the International Labour Day. The Mega Medical Camp is in connection with the ISB @ 70 celebrations and keeping in mind the recent rise in stress and life-style related health issues in the expat community. The medical camp will be held on Wednesday at the ISB Isa Town campus from 8am to 1pm. This activity is arranged based on the UNESCO theme ‘Good Health and Well-being’. The programme is aimed to create awareness among the parents and students on the importance of maintaining good health and early detection of life-threatening chronic diseases. Major hospitals and clinics in the Kingdom will participate in the camp. There will be a seminar on Gynaecology, Cardiology and Health & Wellness. Doctors from Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centre, Middle East Hospital, American Mission Hospital, Bahrain Specialist Hospital, Aster clinic, KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre and Al Hilal Multi Specialty Medical Centre will be present at the camp. Free training on CPR techniques and Zumba Exercise will be offered for parents. Specialist Doctors in Cardiology, Gynaecology, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Dentistry and Stress Management will give free consultations during the camp. Free medical tests will include BMI, ECG, Glucose, Kidney and Lipids (Cholesterol). Special offers for ISB parents will be given by the hospitals.
