He has been an advisor in several advisory committees relevant to the development of aquaculture, internationalization and marketing. He has participated in several national and international scientific conferences and training programs. He has 42 publications to his credit. He has been instrumental in presenting technical reports covering general aquaculture, shrimp farming, fish nutrition, live feed culture and fish genetics. |

Dr. A. S Pillai is an eminent educational administrator, scholar and a National Award Recipient (1998). A Doctorate degree holder from the Centre for Advanced Studies, Faculty of Education, M.S. University of Baroda, Dr. Pillai has a Post graduation in Physics from the University of Kerala and Science Education from the London University . He also has a Management qualification from the Leeds University, UK. With over 37 years of expertise and experience in the field of Education, Dr. Pillai had been the Principal at the Indian School , Darsait, Muscat , Oman prior to taking up the current position. He was the Vice Principal of Bhawans Public School, Baroda , the founder Principal of the Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyashram, Chennai and Principal & Director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Vidyashram at Jaipur. Apart from the President's National Award for the outstanding contribution in the field of education in 1998, he is also the recipient of the British Council Award for Higher studies in Britain as a part of the UK Government's Technical Cooperation Programme in 1980. With a wide exposure of the CBSE & NCERT curriculum, he has been actively involved with the various training programmes, seminars and curriculum development / Text Book Development of the CBSE/NCERT. |
